TIETOSUOJASELOSTE SLICE − OPISKELIJAKORTILLE
Hyvä opiskelija, tässä selosteessa kerromme miksi ja miten Slice käsittelee henkilötietojasi sähköistä opiskelijakorttisovellusta varten. Näin tiedät missä henkilötietojasi on, ja osaat rekisteröitynä käyttää lakisääteisiä oikeuksiasi. Yhteystiedot rekisterinpitäjä Slice / FeedCowboy Oy:lle löydät selosteen lopusta.
1. Miksi ja mitä henkilötietoja käsitellään?
Digitaalinen Slice − opiskelijakortti (’Sovellus’) mahdollistaa opiskelijastatuksen osoittamisen luotettavasti ja helposti. Sovellus tarjoaa sinulle opiskelijana oppilaitoksittain, alueittain tai muuten kohdennettuja opiskelijaetuja, joiden avulla voit mm. saada merkittäviä säästöjä hankinnoistasi.
Henkilötietojesi käsittely perustuu antamaasi suostumukseen, kun hyväksyt sovelluksen käyttöehdot ja tämän selosteen. Voimme lähettää sinulle markkinointiviestejä opiskelijaeduista ja muuta ajankohtaista tietoa Sovelluksesta. Antamasi suostumus on aina peruutettavissa.
Käsittelemme sinusta pääasiassa seuraavia henkilötietoja, josta olet suoraan tai epäsuorasti (muihin tietoihin yhdistettäessä) tunnistettavissa:
• nimi
• sähköposti
• syntymäaika
• oppilaitos
• opintojen kesto ja päätoimisuus
• opiskelijanumero
• valokuva
• koulutusala (mahdollinen)
2. Mistä keräämme tiedot?
Saamme edellä mainitut tiedot tapauskohtaisesti joko oppilaitokseltasi, opiskelijajärjestöltäsi tai suoraan itseltäsi. Emme saa tietojasi missään tapauksessa ilman, että olet siihen antaunut etukäteen luvan joko korttiamyöntävän tahosi (oppilaitos tai opiskelijajärjestö) tai Slicen omissa kanavissa. Lisäksi on automaattisesti syntyvää tietoa, kuten laitteesi IP-osoite.
3. Miten käsittelemme ja säilytämme henkilötietojasi?
Slice-opiskelijakorttisovellus osoittaa opiskeluoikeuden ja tarjoaa tuhansia opiskelijoille suunnattuja etuja. Tätä varten meidän on todennettava opiskelustatuksesi. Riippuen opiskelupaikastasi, tietojasi voidaan tarvittaessa siirtää, hakea tai käsitellä opiskelijajärjestön, oppilaitoksen tai Slicen järjestelmissä. Näitä järjestelmiä ovat mm. Opetushallituksen Koski ja Virta-tietokannat, oppilaitoksen käyttämä tietojärjestelmä, tai muut tietojen todentamiseen liittyvät kolmansien osapuolien palvelut. Sovelluksen keräämiä henkilötietoja ei käytetä oppilaitoksissa muuhun tarkoitukseen, muutoin kun opiskelijan itse näyttäessä opiskelijakorttia, ellei siitä ole erikseen oppilaitoksen toimesta tiedotettu ja olet antanut siihen luvan.
Markkinointiviestintää varten käytämme pääasiassa antamaasi sähköpostiosoitetta. Mikäli et halua saada Slicen uutiskirjettä, voit koska tahansa perua sen ilmoittamalla asiasta info@slice.fi tai uutiskirjeen “Peruuta tilaus” painikkesta.
Henkilötietosi poistetaan kohtuullisen ajan kuluttua siitä, kun tietojemme mukaan opiskeluoikeutesi on päättynyt, ellet anna meille nimenomaista suostumusta henkilötietojen käsittelyyn esimerkiksi alumnitoimintaa tai jotain muuta palvelua varten.
4. Oikeutesi rekisteröitynä?
Olemme edellä avanneet henkilötietojen keräämisestä ja käsittelyä. Sinulla on lisäksi seuraavat oikeudet (tiivistetysti):
• oikeus saada tieto siitä, käsittelemmekö henkilötietojasi sekä saada kopio henkilötiedoistasi
• oikeus pyytää meitä korjaamaan tai täydentämään epätarkat ja virheelliset henkilötiedot
• oikeus tulla unohdetuksi, jos esimerkiksi peruutat suostumuksesi tai tiedot ovat tarpeettomia
• oikeus vaatia henkilötietojen käsittelyn rajoittamista, tietyissä käytännössä poikkeuksellisissa tilanteissa
• oikeus saada henkilötietosi jäsennellyssä, yleisesti käytetyssä ja koneellisesti luettavassa muodossa
• oikeus tehdä valitus valvontaviranomaiselle eli tietosuojavaltuutetun toimistolle (tietosuoja.fi)
Henkilötietojen käsittelyssä ei ”profiloida” rekisteröityjä, eli esimerkiksi arvioida yksittäisen opiskelijan ostokäyttäytymistä. Markkinatutkimuksiin pyydetään erikseen nimenomainen suostumus. Tietojasi ei käsitellä EU:n ulkopuolella. Oikeuksiesi yksityiskohtaiset sisällöt ja poikkeukset on kuvattu tarkemmin EU:n yleisessä tietosuoja-asetuksessa (2016/679) sekä sitä täydentävässä kansallisessa tietosuojalaissa (1050/2018).

KÄYTTÖEHDOT SLICE - OPISKELIJAKORTILLE:
Nämä käyttöehdot koskevat Slice.fi-palvelua ja mobiilisovellusta (myös ”mobiilisovellus” ”sovellus” tai “palvelu”). Palvelua hallinnoi, ylläpitää ja omistaa FeedCowboy Oy (myös “palveluntarjoaja” tai “Slice”). FeedCowboy Oy, Antinkatu 2, 28100 Pori, Y-tunnus 2764873-9.
Ehdot muodostavat sopimuksen palvelun käyttäjän ja Slicen välillä, ja määrittelevät käyttäjän ja Slicen palvelua koskevat oikeudet ja velvollisuudet.
Palvelun tarkoituksena on välittää käyttäjille Sliceen ja sen yhteistyökumppaneihin liittyvää tietoa, etuja, tarjouksia, uutisia sekä muuta sisältöä ja markkinointia sekä toimia jäsentunnisteena. Palvelun käyttäjän alaikäraja on 13 vuotta.
MOBIILISOVELLUS
Palvelu on opiskelijoille tarkoitettu sovellus, joka sisältää opiskelijakortin, opiskelijaetuja ja muuta opiskelijoille suunnattua sisältöä. Lataamalla sovelluksen tai käyttämällä sitä, käyttäjä hyväksyy voimassa olevat ehdot ja sitoutuu noudattamaan niitä. Mikäli Slice muuttaa ehtoja, ilmoitetaan niistä erikseen palvelussa. Mikäli käyttäjä jatkaa palvelun käyttöä muutosilmoituksen jälkeen, katsotaan käyttäjän hyväksyneen muutetut ehdot.
Käyttäjän on huolehdittava laitteesta, johon hän on asentanut sovelluksen. Käyttäjä hyväksyy, että sovelluksen asentamisen jälkeen palvelu on hänen käytössään ilman erillistä uutta asennusta, kunnes sovellus poistetaan laitteesta tai henkilökohtainen laite vaihtuu. Käyttäjä vastaa omien tietojensa oikeellisuudesta sekä huolehtii siitä, että tiedot säilytetään salassa eikä tunnuksia väärinkäytetä. Käyttäjä on vastuussa omilla tunnuksillaan tapahtuvasta asioinnista. Käyttäjä on sitoutunut ilmoittamaan Slicelle välittömästi, mikäli käyttäjätunnusta väärinkäytetään tai siitä on epäilys. Slice voi tällöin estää palvelun käytön käyttäjän käyttäjätunnuksella.
MOBIILISOVELLUKSEN KÄYTTÄMINEN
Slice myöntää käyttäjille näissä ehdoissa määritellyn rajoitetun, peruutettavissa olevan, ei-yksinomaisen ja henkilökohtaisen oikeuden käyttää palvelua ja sen sisältöä ainoastaan näiden ehtojen ja palvelussa mahdollisesti erikseen annettavien ehtojen ja ohjeiden mukaisesti sillä aikavälillä, jolloin hänellä on oikeus käyttää opiskelijakorttipalvelua.
Käyttäjä ei saa muokata tai jäljentää palvelua tai sen sisältöä taikka niiden osaa. Käyttäjällä ei ole oikeutta sellaisenaan tai muokattuna jakaa, levittää, välittää, esittää julkisesti tai muulla tavoin saattaa palvelua tai sen sisältöä yleisön saataviin, ellei siihen ole näissä ehdoissa nimenomaisesti annettu lupaa. Käyttäjä ei saa käyttää palvelua näiden ehtojen, lain tai hyvän tavan vastaisesti. Mikäli käyttäjä ei noudata näitä käyttöehtoja, voidaan hänen tietonsa poistaa yksipuolisesti Slicen toimesta siitä erikseen ilmoittamatta.
PALVELUNTARJOAJAN VASTUU
Slice pidättää oikeuden muokata tai muuttaa palvelua sekä lopettaa tai sulkea palvelun milloin tahansa kokonaan tai osittain ilman erillistä ilmoitusta käyttäjille. Slice ei vastaa siitä, että kaikki palvelussa esitettävä sisältö on Suomen lakien mukaista. Päivämäärät, hinnat ja sisällöt ovat etuja myöntävien organisaatioiden vastuulla. Etujen myöntäminen on etuja myöntävien organisaatioiden omalla vastuulla. Slice ei vastaa etujen sisällöstä eikä siitä, tarjoaako organisaatio etuja vai ei.
Palvelu tarjotaan sisältöineen käyttäjälle sellaisena kuin se on. Slice ei vastaa palvelussa välitettävien tietojen ja sisällön oikeellisuudesta, luotettavuudesta, virheistä, puutteista, epätarkkuuksista tai muista vioista, hetkellisistä teknisistä ongelmista tai esim. huoltokatkoista. Slice pyrkii pitämään palvelun käyttäjän käytettävissä jatkuvasti ja häiriöittä. Slice ei takaa, että palvelu on käyttäjän käytettävissä keskeytyksettömästi, oikea-aikaisesti tai virheettömästi.
Palvelu ei ole välttämättä saatavilla kaikissa maissa ja se voi olla saatavilla vain tietyillä kielillä ja tietyille käyttäjäryhmille. Palvelu, sen toiminta tai jotkut ominaisuudet voivat olla riippuvaisia käytettävien laitteiden yhteensopivuudesta, verkkoyhteyksistä ja sisällön formaateista. Mikäli käyttäjä ei ole hyväksynyt tai asettanut oman laitteensa asetuksia sopivaksi palvelun käyttöä varten, Slice ei ole velvoitettu tarjoamaan teknistä tukea laitteen asetusten muokkaamiseen.
Slice ei vastaa muiden palvelutarjoajien sisältöihin ohjatuista, tai niistä Sliceen ohjatuista sisällöistä, eikä muihin palveluihin ohjaavien linkkien niillä olevasta markkinoinnista tai muusta tiedosta. Sovelluksen kautta toteutettavasta markkinoinnista ja mainonnasta vastaa kutakin tuotetta tai palvelua markkinoiva ja mainostava taho.
Slice ei ole vastuussa mistään suorista, epäsuorista, välittömistä tai välillisistä tai vahingonkorvausvelvollisuuteen perustuvista vahingoista tai erityisvahingoista, mukaan lukien liiketoiminnan, sopimuksen, tuoton tai tietojen menettämisestä tai liiketoiminnan keskeytymisestä aiheutuvat vahingot, jotka johtuvat palvelun tai sen sisällön käyttämisestä tai käytön estymisestä taikka näistä ehdoista, riippumatta siitä, perustuvatko vahingot sopimukseen, oikeudenloukkaukseen, huolimattomuuteen tai muuhun perusteeseen, vaikka Slicelle olisi etukäteen ilmoitettu tällaisten vahinkojen mahdollisuudesta. Kaikissa tapauksissa Slicen vastuu rajoittuu aina korkeintaan pakottavan lainsäädännön mukaiseen vastuuseen. Mitään tätä ylittävää taloudellista vastuuta Slicellä ei ole.
IMMATERIAALIOIKEUDET
Kaikki palvelussa esitetyt kuva- ja tekstimateriaalit (tuotekuvat, tekstit, videot, logot, taulukot) ovat Slicen ja/tai sen yhteistyökumppaneiden omaisuutta. Tekijänoikeuksilla suojatun kuva- ja tekstimateriaalin luvaton käyttö tai kopiointi on kielletty. Slice ei myönnä käyttäjälle mitään suoria tai epäsuoria oikeuksia mihinkään immateriaalioikeuksiin.
MUUT EHDOT
Mobiilisovellus saatetaan käyttäjän saataville eri sovelluskauppojen kautta, ja siihen sovelletaan näiden ehtojen lisäksi myös kyseisten palveluntarjoajien ehtoja.
Käyttäjän tulee myös huomioida verkko-operaattorien, laitevalmistajien sekä muiden kolmansien osapuolien asettamat ehdot, jotka saattavat olla edellytyksenä palvelun käyttämiselle.
OIKEUSPAIKKA JA SOVELLETTAVA LAKI
Palvelun käyttämiseen ja näihin ehtoihin sovelletaan Suomen lakia, lukuun ottamatta sen lainvalintasäännöksiä. Osapuolet pyrkivät ratkaisemaan erimielisyydet ensisijaisesti neuvotteluteitse. Mikäli sovintoratkaisuun ei päästä, erimielisyydet ratkaistaan Suomessa. Kuluttaja voi viedä erimielisyyden myös kotipaikkansa mukaan määräytyvän toimivaltaisen käräjäoikeuden tai kuluttajariitalautakunnan ratkaistavaksi.

PRIVACY POLICY FOR SLICE - STUDENT CARD
Dear student, in this policy we explain why and how Slice uses your personal data for the electronic student ID application, so that you know where your personal data is, and can use your rights as a data subject. The contact details for the data controller Slice/Feedcowboy Oy are at the end of this policy.
1. Why and how are personal data is processed?
The digital Slice – student card (’Application’) provides for verifying student status reliably and easily. The application offers you targeted student discounts, based on the educational establishment, region, or other criteria, with which you can get among other benefits significant discounts from your purchases.
The processing of your personal data is based on the consent you have given when you have accepted the terms of use of the application and this privacy policy. We may send you marketing information on student discounts and other topical information about the Application. Your consent is always revocable.
We process primarily the following personal data, from which you are directly or indirectly (combined with other data) identifiable:
• name
• email
• date of birth
• educational establishment
• duration of studies and if the studies are fulltime
• student number
• photo
• field of education (if applicable)
2. Where do we collect information from?
We collect the aforementioned information, depending on the case, either from the educational establishment, your student organisation, or from you directly. We never get information unless you have given permission beforehand either through the organisation that grants the student id (educational establishment of student organisation) or through Slice’s own channels. In addition, there is automatically generated data, such as the IP-address of your device.
3. How do we process and store your personal data?
The Slice – student card application shows the right to study and offers thousands of benefits for students. For this purpose, we must verify your student status. Depending on your place of study, your information can when needed, be transferred, retrieved, or processed in the IT-systems of your student organisation, educational establishment, or Slice’s own systems. These systems are among others the Department of Education’s Koski and Virta – databases, the IT-systems of your educational establishment, or other-third party services related to data authentication. The data collected by the Application are not used in the educational establishments for other purposes, except when the student shows the student card himself/herself, except when the educational establishment has informed you of other purposes to which you have consented.
For marketing information, we primarily use the email address you have provided. If you do not wish to receive Slice’s newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time by notifying us at info@slice.fi or by clicking the “Peruuta tilaus” button in the newsletter.
Your personal data are removed within a reasonable time, from when your study right has ended, based on our information, unless you give us explicit consent to use your personal data for, for example, alumni activities or some other service.
4. Your rights as a data subject?
We have above explained about collecting and processing personal data. Additionally, you have the following rights (in brief):
• The right to get information regarding the collection and processing of personal data
• The right to access their own personal data and a copy of the personal data undergoing processing
• The right of rectification of inaccurate or flawed personal data
• The right to be forgotten, i.e., the erasure of unnecessary personal data
• The right to restrict the processing of personal data, if its accuracy is contested by the Client
• The right to get their own personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format
• The right to lodge a complaint to a supervisory authority (Data Protection Ombudsman)
The processing of personal data does not “profile” registered users, for example evaluating the In processing personal data the data subjects are not ”profiled”, i.e. for example by evaluating the shopping behaviour of an individual student. For market research an explicit consent is requested. Your information is not processed outside of the EU.
The full details of your rights are to be found in EU’s general data protection regulation (2016/679) and the national data protection act that complements it (1050/2018).

TERMS OF USE FOR THE SLICE – STUDENT CARD
These terms concern Slice.fi-service and mobile application (also ”mobile application” ”application” or ”service”). The service is administered, maintained, and owned by FeedCowboy Oy (also “service provider” or “Slice”). FeedCowboy Oy, Antinkatu 2, 28100 Pori, Business ID 2764873-9.
These terms form a contract with the user of the service and Slice and define the rights and obligations of the user and Slice concerning the rights and duties.
The purpose of the service is to provide users information on Slice and its partners, benefits, offers, news and other content and marketing, as well as to function as a authentication of membership. The age limit for the service is 13 years.
MOBILE APP
The service is an application for students, that includes a student card, student benefits and other content for students. By downloading the application and using it, the user accepts the effective terms of service and consents to abide by them. If Slice changes the terms, this will be notified separately in the service. If the user continues to use the service after the notification, the user is deemed to have accepted the changed terms.
The user must take care of the device on which they have installed the application. The user accepts, that after installation the service is available to them without additional new installation, until the application is removed from the device or the personal device changes. The user is responsible for the correctness of their own information, for keeping the information confidential and for any misuse of the username. The user is responsible for any use through their own username. The user commits to inform Slice immediately, if the username is misused or misuse is suspected. Slice can then prevent the use of the service with that username.
USING THE MOBILE APPLICATION
Slice grants the user a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, and personal right, as defined in these terms, to use the service and its content only in accordance with these terms and in accordance with possible other separate terms and instructions given in the service during the period when they have the right to use the student card service.
The user may not alter or copy the service or its content or parts of it. The user does not have the right to distribute, disseminate, transmit, display in public or otherwise make the service or its content accessible to the public, unless permission is specifically given in these terms. The user may not use the service in contravention of these terms, the law or good practice. If the user does not abide by these terms, their information may unilaterally be deleted by Slice without separate notification.
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SERVICE PROVIDER
Slice retains the right to edit or alter the service or to cease or close the service at any time partly or wholly without prior notification to the user. Slice is not responsible that all the content displayed in the service complies with Finnish law. Dates, prices, and content are the responsibility of the organisations that provide the benefits. Granting the benefits is the responsibility of the organisations that grant the benefits. Slice is not responsible for the content of the benefits or whether the organisation offers benefits or not.
The service is offered as it is. Slice is not responsible for the correctness, trustworthiness, errors, deficiencies, inaccuracies, of the information in the service, or other faults, temporary technical problems or for example maintenance breaks. Slice strives to keep the service available to the user continuously and without errors. Slice is not responsible that the service would be available to the user without interruptions, without errors or in a timely manner.
The service is not necessarily available in all countries, and it may be available only in certain languages or for certain user groups. The services, its function and some properties may be dependent on the interoperability of the devices to be used, on network connections and of content formats. If the user has not accepted or set the settings of his/her own devise for use with the service, Slice is not obligated to offer technical support to adjust the settings.
Slice is not responsible for content directing to or directed from Slice, nor of marketing or other information in links directing to other services. The responsibility for marketing and advertisement through the application is with the party advertising respective goods or services.
Slice is not responsible for any direct, indirect, consequential losses or losses due to liability or of special losses, including losses of business, contract, profit or information or of suspension of business, which is due to using the service or its content or of hinderance to use the service, regardless of whether such losses are due to contract, infringement, negligence or other grounds, even if Slice had been notified beforehand of the possibility of such losses. In all cases the liability of Slice is limited to mandatory law at most. No liability beyond this exists for Slice.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All the picture- and text materials (product pictures, texts, videos, logos, charts) are the property of Slice and/or its partners. The use and copying of copyright protected picture- and text material is prohibited. Slice does not grant the user any direct or indirect rights to any intellectual property.
OTHER TERMS
The mobile application is made available to the user through different application stores, and thus the terms of these service providers are also applicable to the application.
The user must also note the terms set by internet providers, devices manufacturers and other third parties, that may be necessary to use the service.
JURISDICTION AND APPLICABLE LAW
Finnish law is applied to the use of the service, except for its choice of law provisions. The parties seek to settle disputes primarily through negotiations. If agreement is not reached, the dispute is settled in Finland. A consumer can also file a claim at the district court determined by the consumers domicile, or to the consumer dispute board.

PAYMENT SERVICE PROVIDER
The payment transaction is processed and provided by Paytrail Oyj (Business ID 2122839-7) in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. Paytrail Oyj will appear as the payee on your bank statement or card statement and forwards the payment to the merchant. Paytrail Oyj holds a license as a payment institution. In case of complaints, please contact the product supplier as the primary point of contact.
